Hi, My Name is Austin.
One of the biggest challenges I've faced in adult life has been separation from my family.
Whether on short trips, deployments, or long-term separations for work, I've realized that staying connected with my family can be difficult.
Because of those challenges, I've come to appreciate and more thoroughly understand the importance of communication.
My journey exploring the world of radio communication has not just recently started though. It started when I was a teenager.
Starting out as a volunteer firefighter, I realized the importance of understanding how radio communications can support teams and individuals--whether for keeping a family together at a theme park or organizing and executing an emergency response.
I continued as a volunteer firefighter for several years, spent time as an American Red Cross Disaster Action Team lead, and studied emergency management and incident response. I simultaneously have dedicated more than a decade in the armed forces and am continuing that path today. Through those experiences and being a ham radio operator for the last 2 decades, I have learned first-hand what is needed for good radio communication.
What is needed for good radio communication?
The first step in having good radio communication is the ability to find high-quality, custom equipment and parts for your radio setup as well as educational information on how to accurately communicate as a ham radio operator.
The more I learned, the more I find that radio operators are often highly technical and many design and build custom solutions to help further the communications space.
Seeing the need for a specific platform for this type of communication, I created one that provides radio operators with the resources they need to gain exposure for their products and connects them with buyers.
